Together with the St. Josef Hospital (Saarbrücken-Dudweiler), the Rastpfuhl Hospital forms the Caritas Hospital Saarbrücken. The Hospital Rastpfuhl was built in 1901 and is one of the oldest hospitals in Saarbrücken. Since 1993 the Caritas Trägergesellschaft Saarbrücken mbh (cts) has been the responsible body for the hospital.

The Rastpfuhl hospital has clinics for general, visceral, thoracic and tumour surgery, accident surgery, orthopaedic surgery, vascular and endovascular surgery, gynaecology, obstetrics with neonatology, ear, nose and throat medicine, head and neck surgery, Gastroenterology, Cardiology, Angiology, Pneumology, Geriatrics, Haematology and Oncology, Palliative Medicine, Neurology, Urology, Radiooncology / Radiotherapy, Anaesthesiology, Intensive Care Medicine as well as the Institute for Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology.

There are several ways to get there:
By Saarbahn:
If you arrive by Saarbahn, get off at the stop Pariser Platz. Then, coming from the city centre, turn left into Rheinstraße. After approx. 400m you will see the Caritas Hospital Saarbrücken St. Theresia on the right-hand side.
By bus:
You can reach the hospital with the bus lines 129, 134 and 165. The bus stop Rastpfuhl/CaritasKlinikum Saarbrücken St. Theresia is directly next to the hospital.
The hospital is barrier-free.

Opening and visiting hours:
The hospital is open 24 hours a day. There are normally no fixed visiting hours. Currently, there are extreme restrictions on visiting hours due to Covid-19. Since 23.10.2020, no visitors are allowed in the Caritas Hospital Saarbrücken until further notice.
Gastronomy:
Catering for patients and visitors is also provided. The hospital’s own restaurant „Atrium“ is open daily from 07:00 – 15:00. The café is always open Monday to Friday from 08:00-19:30 and on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 10:00 – 19:00.
