The State Working Group PRO EHRENAMT e.V. is the umbrella organisation for voluntary work and civic engagement in Saarland.
Location
The Pro Ehrenamt office is located at Richard-Wagner-Strasse 6, not far from the city centre and within easy walking distance of Saarbrücken’s main railway station and the main shopping street
There are several paid parking spaces of the company Q-Park not far away. One is on Beethovenplatz, the second is called Q-Park Neue Mitte and is on Ursulinenstraße. There are also other car parks in the vicinity.

As already mentioned, Saarbrücken’s main railway station is not far from where Pro Ehrenamt e.V. is located. Countless buses and trains stop there, as does the tram (Saarbahn). Other stops nearby are Haus der Zukunft and Johanneskirche. Buses stop at the latter, but so does the Saarbahn.
From the stops mentioned, it is only a 5 to 10 minute walk to Pro Ehrenamt e.V.
Opening hours
The office opening hours are as follows:
Monday 10:00 to 16:00
Tuesday 10:00 to 18:00
Wednesday 10:00 to 16:00
Thursday 10:00 to 16:00
Friday 10:00 to 13:00
Saturday + Sunday closed
The office hours vary somewhat. These are Monday to Thursday from 10:00 to 14:00. During this period, the office can be reached by telephone.
This is important because since the pandemic, the offices are closed for spontaneous visits and an appointment must be made (by phone or email) before entering the office building.

The State Working Group PRO EHRENAMT e.V. offers everything to do with voluntary work. This includes information, training and qualification programmes, but the State Working Group is also a counselling centre and organiser of various events where independent associations can present themselves and make themselves known.
