General Information

Aidshilfe Saar e.V. was founded in 1985 and is an independent, democratically structured, registered association.
The association is religiously neutral and does not work for profit. The team consists of volunteers and full-time employees. The tasks of Aidshilfe Saar are to advise and support people with HIV or AIDS and to initiate and promote collective as well as individual self-help.
Aidshilfe Saar has several projects, anti-discrimination counseling, HIV rapid tests and they also offer prevention and education events.

Location

Aidshilfe Saar e.V. has a good location, as it is located in the city center. Nearby there is a restaurant, the German Pension Insurance Saarland (is being renovated since a few months!), bars and a bakery where you can sit down comfortably. The places just mentioned can be reached on foot within 3 minutes at most. Within 5 to 10 minutes walk you can reach stores, a cafe and also a pharmacy.
On the street (Nauwieserstraße 19) where the Aidshilfe Saar e.V. is located, there are also many parking spaces. Unfortunately, these parking spaces are quite busy during the whole week. Therefore it is recommended to walk to the building.

Traffic connection

Since Aidshilfe Saar e.V. is located in the city center, there are several bus stops near the building. One is the bus stop in front of the Deutsche Rentenversicherung Saarland and on the opposite side of the street. 2 others are located in Landwehrplatz, and there is also a train stop there. Another bus stop is located in front of the city hall. 1 minute walk away is another train stop at the Johanneskirche. The bus and train stops just mentioned are only 3 to 5 minutes away on foot.
