The St. John’s Chruch stop is located on Cecilienstraße directly in front of the St. John’s Chruch. The stop is so named because it is directly in front of the church and next to the town hall. The stop has 5 different destinations from St. John’s Church (to Siedlerheim, to Riegelsberg Süd, to Heusweiler Markt and to Lebach). All trams run in the north direction. If you get off at Johanneskirche, you can take the city buses at the Rathaus stop (lines 101, 02, 103, 104, 105, 106, 107, 109, 110, 111, 121, 122, 125, 129 and 150).
This shows a great advantage for the Johanneskirche and Rathaus stops, which are located in the Alt-Saarbrücken district, as many students and employees can use the bus transport at work or at the university, e.g. at the HTW-Saar.
The timetable for the Johanneskirche stop starts every Monday to Saturday at 4am until 1:12am. Every Sunday and public holiday the timetables start later, from 6am until midnight. Regarding the accessibility of the stop, all precautions have been taken so that people with reduced mobility, but also blind people, can get there without any problems. The waiting platforms are relatively wide so that a wheelchair can move correctly. When exiting the tram, small balls come out of the platform so that blind people can be guided, likewise for the pedestrian walkway leading to the town hall stop.
