The Saarbrücken-Burbach police station is part of the state police headquarters and is available for the citizens day and night.
Responsibility and Tasks
The Saarbrücken-Burbach police department is responsible for the districts of Malstatt (including the areas of Rastpfuhl, Rodenhof and Rußhütte), Altenkessel, Gersweiler and Klarenthal.
Its tasks include the recording of reports of criminal offenses and misdemeanors, the recording of traffic accidents, as well as the recording of tips, praise and complaints. This police station is also occupied with contact police officers, who are also responsible for counseling in schools, burglary prevention and victim counseling.
Location and Accessibility
The police inspection is located in the Burbach district of Saarbrücken and is easy to reach by car. A visitor parking lot is located to the right of the entrance and across from the inspection. This also includes a marked disabled parking space.
The police inspection can be easily reached by public transport of the saarVV. The train station „Saarbrücken Burbach“ is about 450m away from the office. Several bus stops are located about 200-500m away.
For physically handicapped people there might be risks, because the direct way from the visitors parking to the entrance leads over several stairs and alternatively the way on the street has to be taken. If one parks on the opposite side, one is forced to cross the street. Another obstacle could be the parked police inspection vehicles blocking the way to the entrance. There are no guidance systems for the blind and no traffic lights for the blind.
