The Donum Vitae counselling centre was founded in 1999 as an independent civil-law association by Catholic Christians and has existed as Donum Vitae im Saarland e.V. in Saarland since 2000. There are currently counselling centres in Saarbrücken, Homburg, St Wendel, Saarlouis, Merzig and Neunkirchen.
Donum Vitae is a free and, if desired, anonymous contact point for anyone seeking advice, protection and help on the subject of pregnancy.

The counselling centre Donum Vitae im Saarland e.V. offers counselling on the following topics: Pregnancy conflict, general pregnancy counselling, sex education, prenatal diagnostics, confidential birth, supervised anonymous birth, information for men and fathers and help for refugees.
Furthermore, Donum Vitae also offers online counselling, which can be accessed anonymously at any time. Initial enquiries are usually answered within 48 hours and on weekends within 72 hours.
Location:
The Saarbrücken location is very easy to reach by public transport due to its location in the pedestrian zone directly in the city centre and in the immediate vicinity of the Saarbrücken main railway station. Travelling by car is somewhat more difficult due to its location in the pedestrian zone; parking spaces are easiest to find in multi-storey car parks or Q-Parks for a fee.

Due to its central location, there are several bus stops in the immediate vicinity of the counselling centre. If you arrive by train, you can easily reach Donum Vitae on foot from the main railway station, this should not take more than 10 minutes. The nearest bus stops are Bahnhofsstraße, Rabbiner-Rülf-Platz, Luisenbrücke, Rathaus and Karstadt, and the Saarbahn stop Kaiserstraße is also not far away.
